The average count shows an increase duirng both days. One possible cause would be the increase in the sunspots this year but the graphs don't show any consistent trend during the daytime hours. Another possible cause could be some other cosmic event but the graph does not show any consistent trend throughout the day. Another possible cause could be an increase in radioactive particles in the atmosphere which produce more muons which would show up consistently throughout the entire day.
